HONG KONG, November 6, 2008 - O’Melveny & Myers announced today that highly-regarded securities and regulatory lawyer
James Wood has joined the firm as counsel. Wood is a member of the Firm’s Securities Enforcement and Regulatory Counseling group and resides in the Firm’s Hong Kong office.

Wood joined O’Melveny from Goldman Sachs in Asia, where he was an executive director in the legal department and also later COO of the Investment Management Division. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Wood was with Freshfields practicing financial services, regulatory, and corporate finance law in Hong Kong.
