David Makarechian is a partner in O’Melveny’s Transactions Department.

David represents companies and investors in transactions in the U.S. and in Asia.  He advises US and international investment banks, private equity funds and issuers on a wide range of corporate finance transactions, including initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, Rule 144A and Regulation S global offerings, PIPEs, equity lines of credit, equity forward transactions, private placements, privatizations, and NYSE and NASDAQ listings.

David also has substantial experience in cross-border mergers, acquisitions, tender offers, and joint ventures.

David’s experience spans a variety of industry sectors, including manufacturing, shipping and transportation, infrastructure, energy and clean technology, real estate, consumer products, medical device, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, information technology, e-commerce, consumer internet, enterprise software, and telecommunication systems and services industries.  David has also worked on more than 200 private financings for companies, venture capitalists, private equity funds, and investment banks.
