Greg Gilbert

Gregory Gilbert is a partner in O’Melveny’s New York office and Chair of the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice. 

His practice focuses on corporate transactional work, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions transactions.  He has substantial experience representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies.

Greg’s private equity sponsor practice covers a wide variety of transactions, including leveraged acquisitions, recapitalizations, mergers, strategic investments, restructurings, workouts and dispositions.  His experience with non-control investments includes venture capital financings (early through late stage), growth equity transactions, mezzanine capital and PIPE investments.  Additionally, he has experience in the formation of private equity funds and the structuring of compensation arrangements for investment professionals. 

Greg’s practice involves transactions and companies of all sizes, and covers a wide variety of sectors including industrial, manufacturing, consumer, distribution, TMT, and healthcare industries.
