Yi Zhang

Partner

Yi Zhang heads O'Melveny's Hong Kong office and is a partner in the China practice. He has more than 17 years of experience representing many multinational companies, commercial and investment banks and private equity funds in connection with various types of China related onshore and offshore investments, financings and M&A transactions. His practice focus includes infrastructure, energy, real estate and distressed asset transactions.

Yi has also worked on projects in other countries, including the United States, Korea, Thailand, India, Pakistan, the Philippines and Bangladesh.

Yi was a political scientist before he went to law school. He has written extensively in China on the US Constitution and the US government and politics.
