GDPR Enforcement: Looking Ahead

May 31, 2018

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the EU’s new regulation governing the collection, processing, use, and storage of personal data, which became enforceable on May 25, 2018. O’Melveny’s Data Security and Privacy lawyers address last-minute steps that companies should take to prepare themselves for GDPR enforcement and explain the law’s ongoing compliance obligations in “Countdown to GDPR Enforcement: Final Steps and Looking Ahead” in the Cybersecurity Law Report.

For a more in-depth discussion of the GDPR’s requirements, O’Melveny’s GDPR Toolkit explains the law’s requirements and lays out 12 steps you can take to comply with the GDPR. Our lawyers also can provide specific counseling on the application of the law to your company.
