Fordham Sports Law Forum: Negotiation 101 - Breaking Deadlocks & Resolving Ugly Conflicts

Chuck Baker, co-chair of O’Melveny’s Sports Industry Group, will join the panel “Negotiation 101: Breaking Deadlocks & Resolving Ugly Conflicts” at Fordham Sports Law Forum’s 24th Annual Sports Law Symposium.

Baker will be joined on the panel by Alex Rosen of Major League Baseball, Jared Fox of Sportstars, Inc., Jason Belzer of GAME, Inc., Paul Greene of Global Sports Advocates, and moderator Joshua Gordon of the University of Oregon and the Sports Conflict Institute. Additional symposium topics include the evolution of athletes’ rights and advocacy, and the role of in-house counsel.

Baker’s corporate practice encompasses mergers and acquisitions, including SPAC mergers, private equity, and venture capital transactions, with a core focus in the sports, media and entertainment sectors. He has represented buyers and sellers of sports franchises in nearly every professional US sports league and many of the European football leagues.
