O’Melveny partners Young Shin and Woojae Kim presented at “Corporate Strategy Seminar for the Promotion of Korea-US Shipbuilding Cooperation (MASGA),” an event hosted by Yulchon Law Firm on November 25. The MASGA project aims to restore US shipbuilding infrastructure, collaborate on eco-friendly and cutting-edge ship technologies, and establish a joint construction system between the two countries. Following the significant interest in the topic during the APEC Korea-US Summit, the seminar served as a forum for discussing the legal and institutional considerations the shipbuilding industry needs to consider. The O’Melveny partners addressed overcoming legal obstacles for US entry as well as transaction structures for US entry, joining other legal and corporate presenters for detailed discussions of the most pressing issues.
