Kate Stutz Receives LACBA’s Counsel for Justice Community Impact Award
April 16, 2024
The Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) recently honored O’Melveny counsel Kate Stutz with its Counsel for Justice (CFJ) Community Impact Award.
LACBA highlighted Stutz’s “significant and meaningful contributions as a volunteer to CFJ’s Domestic Violence Project on behalf of domestic violence victims,” and expressed gratitude for her “extraordinary support.”
CFJ is the charitable arm of LACBA and provides direct legal assistance to the most vulnerable members of the LA community through a variety of pro bono projects, including its Domestic Violence Legal Services Project (DVP). For 25 years, survivors of domestic violence have sought help at the Los Angeles Superior Court. Navigating the judicial maze is an intimidating task, but the DVP helps survivors file domestic violence restraining orders, which help keep them safe.
Stutz and other honorees were celebrated at an awards ceremony on April 16, 2024.
