LOS ANGELES—January 23, 2024—O’Melveny partner Esteban Rodriguez has been named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2024 list of “Leaders of Influence: Minority Attorneys.” The publication featured 84 “standout minority attorneys considered to be particularly impactful on the legal scene while serving as trusted advisors in the LA region.”
Rodriguez is an experienced litigator whose diverse practice focuses on defending consumer products and life sciences companies in government investigations and complex, multi-jurisdictional matters alleging product liability, false advertising, unfair competition, and other consumer fraud claims.
The Los Angeles Business Journal recognized Rodriguez as a trusted advisor to major pharmaceutical clients, including representing Johnson & Johnson (J&J) in state and federal multi-district litigation relating to the marketing of prescription opioid medications. He was also a member of the O’Melveny team that secured the first-ever trial win for a drug company facing opioid litigation when a California state court judge found J&J and others not liable in a US$50 billion suit.
