O’Melveny Partners Daniel Petrocelli, David Marroso, Leah Godesky, and Terrence Dugan Named to Variety’s 2024 Music Legal Elite Report

LOS ANGELES—October 10, 2024—O’Melveny partners Daniel Petrocelli, David Marroso, Leah Godesky, and Terrence Dugan have been named to Variety’s 2024 Music Legal Elite report, which covers the top attorneys who “rock showbiz.”
Petrocelli, who serves as O’Melveny’s vice chair and chair of the firm’s Trial Practice, has a national trial practice counseling and representing clients in major litigation in a wide variety of areas, including antitrust, competition, business torts, insurance, securities, employment law, entertainment, sports, media, and criminal defense.
Marroso, head of O’Melveny’s firmwide General Litigation Practice, represents clients in high-stakes antitrust, contract, criminal, environmental, insurance, intellectual property, and real property matters. His clients are some of the most sophisticated and well-known companies in apparel, consumer goods, financial services, media and entertainment, private equity, and real estate.
Godesky is a first-chair trial lawyer who leads winning teams, taking on multibillion-dollar cases for clients across an array of industries, including entertainment, insurance, health care, airlines, and banking. She also maintains an active pro bono docket, regularly partnering with lawyers at reproductive-justice organizations to challenge laws that restrict access to women’s health care.
Dugan’s practice focuses on finance, acquisitions, and workouts, primarily in the motion picture and music sectors. He represents the most active agent banks in syndicated financings in the motion picture and music finance space, private equity debt and acquisition funds, and a number of other investors in the motion picture and music sectors.
