O’Melveny Practices, Lawyers Highly Ranked by The Legal 500 US 2023

LOS ANGELES—June 13, 2023—O’Melveny’s leading practices and lawyers have been recognized for their excellence by the 2023 edition of The Legal 500: United States, a guide to the US legal market.
This year’s guide ranked the firm across 42 practice areas, with five practices receiving Tier 1 rankings and nine practices receiving Tier 2 rankings. O’Melveny was also recognized as a “Firm to Watch” for both Aviation & Airtravel—Finance; and Energy Transactions: Oil and Gas.
The Legal 500 recognized eight O’Melveny partners in its “Hall of Fame,” which highlights lawyers who are “at the pinnacle of the profession” and who have “received constant praise from their clients for continued excellence.” This year’s “Hall of Fame” designees are partners David Almeling, Brian Boyle, Apalla Chopra, Richard Goetz, Luc Moritz, Daniel Petrocelli, John Rapisardi, and Tancred Schiavoni.
This year’s guide recognized 16 O’Melveny partners as “Leading Lawyers,” defined by The Legal 500 as “stand out partners.” In addition, seven O’Melveny lawyers were identified as “Next Generation” lawyers and four were lauded as “Rising Stars.”
