O’Melveny’s M&A Work for PW Consortium in US$1.84 Billion Merger with PureWest Energy Recognized by North American Energy Council as 2023 “Deal of the Year”

HOUSTON—October 12, 2023— O’Melveny’s recent M&A work for PW Consortium in its US$1.84 billion merger with PureWest Energy has been recognized by the North American Energy Council as the 2023 “Deal of the Year.”
The recognition was announced on October 11 during an award ceremony in Houston, TX.
A cross-office, multi-disciplinary O’Melveny team advised PW Consortium in the transaction, which was announced on May 31.
Members of PW Consortium include A.G. Hill Partners LLC; Cain Capital LLC; Eaglebine Capital Partners, LP; Fortress Investment Group; HF Capital, LLC; Petro-Hunt LLC; and Wincoram Asset Management.
PureWest Energy is a private energy company focused on developing its long-life gas reserves in Wyoming’s Green River Basin, where the company controls more than 111,000 net acres in and around the prolific Pinedale and Jonah Fields.
