Variety Names Five O’Melveny Partners to its 2019 Dealmakers Impact Report

CENTURY CITY—December 9, 2019—O’Melveny Century City partners Matthew Erramouspe, Sean Monroe, Amy Siegel, Bruce Tobey, and Silvia Vannini have been named to Variety’s 2019 Dealmakers Impact Report.
Variety has featured O’Melveny partners in its report, which highlights the accomplishments of the entertainment industry’s top corporate lawyers, every year for the past decade.
“The entertainment team at the 134-year-old law firm has been a guiding hand in the formation of some of film and TV’s most forward-looking companies, including Participant Media, STX and Wiip, and it continued on the innovative path in 2019,” Variety observed.
Variety recognized the O’Melveny team for their combined entertainment successes in 2019, including:
- Representing CBS Corp. in its partnership with PatMat prods., a new multiplatform independent production company
- Advising Univision in its cross-border strategic alliance with Mexico’s Grupo Televisa creating the multiplatform sports media brand TUDN
- Representing Bron Studios in its US$100 million multipicture co-financing deal with MGM
- Guiding Bron in its launch of Bron Ventures, the equity investment division of Bron Media Corp.
Matthew Erramouspe is co-chair of O’Melveny’s Entertainment, Sports and Media transactional practice. His practice focuses on structuring strategic investment, financing, and co-financing arrangements, negotiating strategic production and distribution arrangements, and advising on strategic acquisitions and sales of entertainment and media companies and assets, both in the United States and abroad.
Bruce Tobey is co-chair of O’Melveny’s Entertainment, Sports and Media transactional practice. Tobey’s practice covers all aspects of production, distribution, financing and licensing of feature film and television productions as well as digital media. He also provides strategic and operational advice to investors and companies in both traditional and new media. Tobey is the former Chief Operating Officer of CBS Films and a former Executive Vice President at Paramount Pictures Corp.
Amy Siegel, managing partner of O’Melveny’s Century City office, represents motion picture studios, television networks, distribution and production companies, sports organizations and other media clients. Siegel focuses her practice primarily on complex commercial licensing arrangements, with expertise in the use of intellectual property rights in connection with traditional and digital means of exploitation, theme parks and other location-based entertainment venues, as well as sports and other live events. She also advises clients on the creation of strategic alliances.
Sean Monroe specializes in complex mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, new company formations, distribution and licensing arrangements and corporate finance transactions in the entertainment, sports and media and other industries. Monroe also advises clients regarding venture capital and early-stage formation and investment transactions, and executive employment, equity and compensation arrangements.
Silvia Vannini advises public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, securities, and general corporate matters, including corporate governance, both in and out of the entertainment industry. She regularly represents private equity funds, domestic and foreign companies, motion picture studios, television networks as well as entrepreneurial clients on a wide range of corporate transactions.
