Law360 Former Acting Deputy At USPTO Joins O’Melveny

O’Melveny announced that it has hired Coke Morgan Stewart, a former US Patent and Trademark Office top official, as senior counsel in Washington, DC. Stewart is joining O’Melveny’s Intellectual Property and Technology Practice and will advise clients on litigation, Patent Trial and Appeal Board matters, and appeals to the Federal Circuit. Stewart said that her decision to join O’Melveny “is really about the people here.” Ryan Yagura, chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Group, touted Stewart’s “impressive credentials, deep knowledge of intellectual property law and policy, and strong litigation skills — especially at the appellate level.”
