Law360: NYU Settles Case Accusing It of Fostering Antisemitism

O’Melveny helped New York University resolve litigation brought by three Jewish students accusing the institution of fostering an antisemitic environment. The settlement, in which the school pledged to address discrimination toward Jewish and Israeli students, comes just one day before the parties were scheduled to argue a motion to dismiss in Manhattan federal court. NYU and counsel for the plaintiffs said in a joint statement that the school will create a new Title VI coordinator position to oversee the response to allegations of discrimination and will pay an undisclosed sum, among other confidential terms.
