Reuters: US Poultry Supplier Executives Acquitted in Price-Fixing Case

Former Pilgrim’s Pride CEO Jayson Penn and other chicken industry executives were found not guilty of price fixing charges. The verdict marks the end of the US Justice Department’s attempt to convict the defendants after two previous mistrials in the case. The DOJ originally charged 10 executives but dropped charges against five after the second mistrial. Penn is represented by Michael Tubach and Anna Pletcher of O’Melveny & Myers LLP.
