O’Melveny & Myers LLP set new records for gross revenue, profitability, and profits per equity partner in 2024, once again surpassing the US$1 billion mark in gross revenue. O’Melveny chair Bradley Butwin attributed the firm’s success to its client service efforts and strategic plan to expand the firm in key growth areas, evident through the addition of 90 lateral partners in the past five years. “As we pursue our thoughtful growth, we’re concentrating on integrating new talent and leveraging the strengths of our platform to deepen our most important client relationships and deliver outstanding results,” Butwin said. O’Melveny also ranked #1 for associate satisfaction in The American Lawyer’s Midlevel Associates Survey for the second year in a row and was named to the publication’s “A-List” for the 13th consecutive year. Last year, the firm’s lawyers logged 94,000 hours of pro bono work, with 93% of US lawyers participating. In 2025, O’Melveny looks to celebrate its 140th anniversary after starting the year with 21% more inventory than 2024. “We are only just hitting our stride,” Butwin said. “When we work together with a shared purpose and draw strength from our core values, I truly believe there’s nothing we can’t accomplish.”
