The American Lawyer: Private Equity the Name of the Game for O’Melveny’s Singapore Rebuild

O’Melveny announced today that two experienced pan-Asia transactional lawyers—Stephanie Keen and Sylvia Taslim—have joined the firm’s Singapore office as partners in the Mergers and Acquisitions practice, further bolstering O’Melveny’s cross-border capabilities while also expanding its capacity across Asia. “I think for Sylvia and I, it was really exciting to look at a new opportunity where we could really take the platform to the next level and continue to develop the private equity and M&A practice across Asia,” Keen said. Brophy Christensen, firmwide co-chair of O’Melveny’s corporate department, said, “Like anyone that does business in Asia, we view those markets and those offices to be interconnected. Singapore is a hub for Southeast Asia and I think it's difficult to cover Asia broadly if you aren't in the hub.”
