The Recorder: California Federal Judge to Hear Arguments in Health Care Clinic’s Case Against City of Santa Ana

A hearing in a lawsuit filed by California health care organization Share Ourselves (SOS) against the city of Santa Ana alleging discrimination claims has been scheduled for September 23 before US District Judge David O. Carter of the Central District of California. SOS is represented by pro bono counsel Nora Salem and partner Brett Williamson of O’Melveny and Myers LLP. “Santa Ana has a high number of underserved patients which greatly need these types of services, and the city received a federal grant in 2021 to close that health care gap,” Salem said. “It’s making it very difficult now for the very organizations that receive that money to operate in the city.”
