O’Melveny Advises Analog Bits on Acquisition by SEMIFIVE

SILICON VALLEY—March 24, 2022—O’Melveny represented Analog Bits, Inc., a leading provider of low-power mixed-signal Intellectual Property solutions, in its acquisition by SEMIFIVE, a pioneer of platform-based system-on-chip (SoC) design. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Analog Bits develops and delivers low-power integrated clocking, sensors and interconnect IP that are pervasive in virtually all of today’s semiconductors. Products include a wide portfolio of precision clocking macros PLLs and XTAL and RC Oscillators, Sensors to monitor Temperature, Voltage Drops, Voltage Spikes, System Power Integrity with integrated or separately available bandgaps and ADCs.
The acquisition positions SEMIFIVE to expand its capabilities and portfolio to now include design IP which is an essential component of designing system-on-chip.
The O’Melveny deal team that advised Analog Bits was led by managing partner of O’Melveny’s Silicon Valley office, Paul Sieben, and included San Francisco-based counsel Kirk Dungca, Silicon Valley-based associate Amit Itai, and San Francisco-based associate Kevin Togami, among others.
