O’Melveny Welcomes Singapore M&A Partners Stephanie Keen & Sylvia Taslim

SINGAPORE—October 16, 2024—O’Melveny announced today that two experienced pan-Asia transactional lawyers—Stephanie Keen and Sylvia Taslim—have joined the firm’s Singapore office as partners in the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice, further bolstering O’Melveny’s cross-border capabilities while also expanding its capacity across Asia.
Together, Keen and Taslim are internationally recognized for their strategic M&A and private equity expertise. Their work spans a vast array of industries that align with O’Melveny’s strengths, including the technology, consumer, and energy sectors.
Keen and Taslim come to O’Melveny from the Singapore office of Hogan Lovells, where they practiced together in the Corporate and Finance Practice. Keen held senior leadership roles there, including head of the Asia-Pacific Private Equity Practice and Corporate and Finance Practice.

Stephanie Keen is recognized as one of Singapore’s premier M&A and private equity lawyers. For nearly three decades, she has advised corporations, lenders, and mid-market private equity sponsors on leveraged buy-outs, cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, equity offerings, and corporate restructurings in jurisdictions across the globe. Consistently ranked as a “leading lawyer” by Chambers, Keen has been named to The Legal 500’s Singapore Lawyer “Hall of Fame,” while Women in Business Law - APAC has honored Keen as “Best in Private Equity.”
Keen earned her Bachelor and Master of Arts in Law from St. John’s College at the University of Cambridge, and her Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the York College of Law. She is a member of the Singapore Venture Capital Association, the Asian Venture Capital Association, and the Singapore Law Society.
Sylvia Taslim has been recognized as a corporate and M&A “Rising Star” by The Legal 500. For nearly two decades, she has advised clients on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, public takeovers, private equity transactions, and venture capital investing. She is particularly skilled in energy M&A transactions, and she has extensive experience in first-of-its-kind transactions in emerging markets.
Taslim earned her LL.B. in Laws from the National University of Singapore, and she is a member of the Singapore Law Society.
