O’Melveny Makes Long-Term Commitment to Support Abortion Rights

More than two dozen women law partners at O’Melveny joined more than 2,600 women partners in 190 law firms across the country who have committed to offering pro bono legal services to organizations that defend and support women's rights to autonomy, equality, and safe access to reproductive care, including abortion.

The call to action came in the wake of the Supreme Court's decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization that overturned Roe v. Wade and ended the federal right to abortion. O’Melveny attorneys are also active in the New York Attorney General Reproductive Rights Task Force and the Legal Alliance for Reproductive Rights in San Francisco.

O’Melveny has also pledged to provide pro bono legal defense services to abortion providers, activists, abortion funds, and others facing legal threats related to abortion care. As part of the Abortion Defense Network, O’Melveny is offering advice, representation and financial assistance to women’s health care providers across the country.
