Brent Rubin is a corporate associate in O’Melveny’s Dallas office who represents private equity sponsors, public and private companies, institutional investors, and other clients in complex business transactions. Brent’s practice encompasses mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, investments, governance matters and general corporate counseling. Brent has completed transactions for clients in various industries, including hospitality, technology, real estate, software, commercial services, and construction.
Additionally, Brent is very enthusiastic about serving Pro Bono clients, having served clients on a variety of matters. His Pro Bono work is highlighted by taking on a challenging asylum case on behalf of a former high ranking Afghan government refugee who fled Afghanistan upon the Taliban takeover. Brent is proud that after a lengthy process, his client was granted asylum in May 2024.
In addition to his legal work, Brent is active in the Dallas office. He is the Co-Leader of the Texas Jewish Lawyer Network, served as the Co-Social Chair of the 2023 Summer Program, is running the 2024 Mock Deal Summer Program, and has captained the O’Melveny DAYL Summer Softball Team since 2023.
