O’Melveny Worldwide

Bryan Hayame is a staff attorney in O’Melveny’s Los Angeles office and a member of the Litigation Department. His practice includes large-scale electronic discovery encompassing all stages of litigation. He manages attorneys in fact-finding for depositions, expert discovery, and trial preparation. Bryan has developed strategies to streamline the discovery process that have saved clients millions of dollars in litigation costs.

Prior to joining O’Melveny, Bryan worked as a litigation associate where his responsibilities included drafting and arguing motions, as well as taking depositions.

  • Represented a pharmaceutical company in federal and state courts in cases alleging injuries related to prescription pain medications  
  • Represented the owner and Chairman of the Baltimore Orioles in a trust and estates dispute regarding ownership of the Club
  • Represented the owner of The Forum arena in a contractual fraud litigation resulting in a $400 million sale of The Forum to the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers
  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a pharmaceutical company in antitrust litigation involving allegations of exclusive dealing and monopolization
  • Defended a real estate company and owner of a five-star hotel against trade secret and breach of contract claims
  • Represented a health plan in a False Claims Act suit filed by the Department of Justice in connection with Medicare Advantage risk adjustment data submitted to CMS
  • Represented Samsung in a high-publicity patent licensing dispute against Microsoft
  • Represented US Airways, now part of American Airlines Group Inc., in federal antitrust litigation in the airline ticket distribution market
  • Represented the creators of the Call of Duty and Modern Warfare video game franchises in a dispute over nine-figure bonuses and the unauthorized development of sequels and other games
  • Represented Advanced Micro Devices (“AMD”) in its global antitrust litigation against Intel Corporation, resulting in a US$1.25 billion settlement for the client
  • Represented multiple corporations with internal investigations in advance of federal and state inquiries
