David Iden is an experienced litigator and trusted adviser who represents directors, executives, corporations, and public entities in high-stakes commercial litigation and government investigations and controversies. David brings particular expertise in consumer protection disputes to his versatile practice, which spans financial services, technology, media and entertainment, automotive, and regulated utilities, among other industries. Clients turn to David for his collaborative approach, focus on efficiency, and unwavering commitment to internalizing and advancing their business objectives.
David has been recognized for his pro bono practice, earning Kids in Need of Defense’s KINDness Matters Award for his stellar representation of individuals seeking asylum protection and special immigrant juvenile status. David has also been featured by LACBA’s Domestic Violence Project as a distinguished contributor to the clinic.
Outside of O’Melveny, David serves on the Board of Directors of Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County, one of California’s largest and most prominent public interest law offices. He also serves on the Pepperdine Law Dean’s Council and mentors law students via Pepperdine’s Preceptor Program.
Before joining O’Melveny, David served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Beverly Reid O’Connell of the US District Court for the Central District of California. He graduated magna cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he served as managing editor of Pepperdine Law Review.
Before law school, David spent three years as a professional baseball player in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. That experience set the stage for his role as a consultant and lead baseball trainer to Chadwick Boseman in the Jackie Robinson biopic, 42.
