Kristin Alvarado is a litigation counsel in O’Melveny’s Dallas office where she focuses her practice on helping corporations navigate high-stakes litigation in state court, federal court, and in arbitration proceedings. Kristin has worked on a variety of legal issues, including complex contract issues, intellectual property matters, tort liability, and employment issues. Kristin also maintains a strong pro bono practice including representing a client in an international child custody dispute, and petitioning the Tennessee Governor for clemency of a man on death row.
- Represented international energy company in a tortious interference and licensing dispute and received full award of damages.
- Represented multinational technology company in a trademark infringement suit resulting in favorable settlement.
- Counseled multinational food, snack, and beverage corporation in connection with trade dress suits.
- Secured permanent injunction for global power supply manufacturer to prevent former employee’s continued misappropriation of trade secrets.
- Represented midstream operator in connection with Chapter 11 Bankruptcy adversary proceedings.
