Max Rothman is an experienced litigator focused on complex disputes in the entertainment, sports, and commercial business industries. He represents film and television studios, professional sports teams, international sporting bodies, universities, and Fortune 500 companies. Max has significant trial and arbitration experience, which includes securing a nine-figure verdict for a client. He was recognized on the 2025 and 2026 Best Lawyers In America: Ones to Watch list in both the Entertainment & Sports Law and Commercial Litigation categories.
Max also maintains an active pro bono practice. He successfully obtained permanent asylum for a woman fleeing persecution in her home country, worked with deserving inmates to raise constitutional challenges through habeas corpus petitions, helped prepare a repository of antisemitic laws around the world, and currently represents non-profit media and sports organizations.
