Max Rothman is a litigator based in O’Melveny’s Century City office. He focuses his practice on complex civil disputes in the entertainment, sports, commercial business, and product liability industries. Max has significant trial experience and has successfully argued dispositive motions, authored appellate briefs, first-chaired depositions, and negotiated favorable resolutions for clients. Max was recently recognized on the “Ones to Watch” list in the 2025 edition of The Best Lawyers In America.
Max also maintains an active pro bono practice. He successfully obtained permanent asylum for a transgender woman who was detained at the border after fleeing severe persecution in her home country. He has also dedicated substantial time to helping deserving inmates raise constitutional challenges through habeas corpus petitions, and he is currently helping to prepare a repository of antisemitic laws around the world.
