Michelle Abundis is a litigation associate in O’Melveny’s San Francisco office. She has experience in class action and multi-plaintiff litigation. She is passionate about civil procedure matters including standing, class action certification, failure to exhaust administrative remedies, and removal or appeal procedures. In addition to class action work, Michelle has also represented large companies in high-stakes tort litigation in state and federal court and is involved in providing responsive and immediate regulatory advice in an evolving legal landscape.

Michelle is also committed to various pro bono causes and has assisted on a Ninth Circuit case seeking prisoner rights reform.

Prior to joining O’Melveny, Michelle externed at the Orange County Public Defender’s Office. She attended Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif, the Managing Editor of the Northwestern University Law Review, and a Teaching Assistant for Property Law. She authored the law review note “Reforming the Supreme Court Appointment Process: A Comparative Law Analysis.” Michelle graduated cum laude and achieved the Dean’s List for all semesters.
