Paul Wooten is a highly skilled and experienced lawyer specializing in White Collar corporate investigations and related litigation. Paul manages a broad range of intricate and highly sensitive investigations, including identifying emerging regulatory risks, assessing compliance with data privacy and cybersecurity laws, and developing internal policies and procedures for global companies conducting cross-border business. Paul also represents major corporations in ongoing government investigations and in complex commercial litigations, directing litigation strategy from pleadings through discovery and trial.
Paul represents clients in a variety of industries, including financial services, healthcare, insurance, and technology. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in litigations throughout the country and has negotiated on behalf of his clients before state and federal regulators.
In addition, Paul has focused substantial time and energy on behalf of pro bono clients. Paul represented underfunded school districts in a landmark litigation against the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, securing a historic ruling protecting the rights of disadvantaged schoolchildren. Paul also assists juvenile immigrants navigate the complex immigration and asylum systems.
Prior to joining O’Melveny, Paul served as an Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. He also previously worked at the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.
