Sheya Jabouin is a litigation associate in O’Melveny’s New York office. She represents a broad range of clients in high-stakes civil litigation, complex commercial litigation, class actions, MDL proceedings, and corporate internal investigations. Her clients span a variety of industries, including financial services, consumer & retail products, health care, aviation, and insurance. Sheya also has experience in regulatory matters, including investigations by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the DOJ Antitrust Division.

Sheya’s practice focuses on all stages of litigation and arbitration, from discovery to trial. She has also supported depositions of adverse parties and expert witnesses, drafted expert reports, and supported the direct and cross-examination of expert witnesses at trial.

Sheya maintains an active pro bono practice in matters involving immigration, reproductive justice, and domestic violence cases. Notably, Sheya represented a client in a preliminary hearing at the immigration court in which she successfully argued in favor of a motion to terminate removal proceedings. This resulted in immigration court dismissing the USCIS removal case against her client. Sheya was also part of a trial team that successfully briefed and argued before the New Jersey Superior Court in favor of a final restraining order on behalf of the plaintiff who had suffered years of domestic abuse.

Additionally, Sheya has co-authored several thought leadership pieces on antitrust issues related to the regulation of Generative AI and information-sharing “safe harbor” protections. She also Co-Chair of the firm’s African-American Professionals Network where she has organized over six firm-wide panel events with experts in law and policy.

Before joining O’Melveny, Sheya served as a paralegal for the Federal Trade Commission in both the Office of the Commissioner and Bureau of Consumer Protection.
